Committed to helping our children excel in academic studies and social skills.
Rather they are key concepts that are crucial to the Jewish people and integrated into the teaching environment at BYDS every day. Our students learn how those mitzvot (good deeds) contribute to the making of good citizens, strong Jews, and compassionate human beings. At BYDS, we are not only teaching scholars; we are creating Mensches.
The idea of “giving back” is strongly stressed in our school and is a significant tool we use to help our students achieve emotional maturity in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, one in which we all depend on each other. Our students also learn by example as their parents, grandparents, and other friends of the school engage in Tzadakah and Tikkun Olam, both at home and through the school.
In this way, BYDS thinks global and acts local.
