A long time ago, at the beginning of July, I walked into a bright, big, beautiful building and began my new adventure – Director of Advancement at BYDS. I have long known about BYDS – I have many friends who themselves, or their spouses, were students here. I soon learned that very many of our own teachers and staff members (or their spouses) were also students here and now their own children and grandchildren attend BYDS.
Talk about a LEGACY!
The first day of school the energy, the chatter, the laughter, the stories, were palpable, and the smiles seen around the halls were electrifying. This solidified for me that I have found my new home at BYDS.
Your children have a thirst for knowledge and love coming to school each day. It didn’t take long for me to see how much our teachers, in turn, enjoy seeing their students every day and working so hard to prepare important lessons for them. It is an honor to be here with you all.
