Our calendar is officially out! Check it out!
Every educational system needs effective communication to be successful. Many of you probably don’t think about the details of our email or phone system. All that matters is that we receive your calls/emails, respond, and stay organized. Starting Tuesday, February 21st, we will be migrating from our current set up through Google to Microsoft Office 365. We completed the migration this morning on all computers and BYDS admin, faculty, and staff accounts.
Over the next few weeks, we will be installing phones in each office and classroom. Once we have a proper phone system in our school, it will do a lot of things to enhance the daily experiences of our staff, students, and families. This new phone system will support our day-to-day operations by offering better connectivity among teachers and school administrators and additional security and safety in our classrooms.
As with trying anything new, there may be some hiccups over the next few weeks during the transition and we appreciate your patience. If you have any questions or concerns during this transition, please contact us.
Thank you to the 600 community members who will be joining us to honor JJ Watt, the Justin J. Watt Foundation, and Alan and Diane Levin at the 2015-2016 BYDS Annual Gala on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. More
Beth Yeshurun Day School has been selected to receive a matching grant from The Helen and Samuel Schaffer Jewish Education Fund of the Houston Jewish Community Foundation. The grant will be used to extend financial assistance to families committed to a Jewish day school education.
In order to receive this grant BYDS needs to raise $36,000 by May 31, 2017 to match dollar for dollar.
BYDS remains strongly committed to offering financial assistance to those families in need.
Through this grant, BYDS will expand its educational and social environment to all Jewish families. Our greatest responsibility is to give our children the opportunity to become successful and involved in the Houston Jewish community. Helen and Samuel Schaffer’s philanthropy provides a gateway to lifelong Jewish engagement by students to integrate Jewish ideals and Jewish education into their daily lives.
If you would like to contribute to this important fund, contact Guido Setton, Director of Advancement at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 713.666. 1884.
