Beth Yeshurun Day School combines Jewish tradition with innovation to create an extraordinary dual program. Families join our school to be a part of a welcoming, nurturing community and families stay for the individualized instruction through small classes. Our administration’s open-door policy offers parents the support they need when they need it.
The mission of Beth Yeshurun Day School is to foster confidence, leadership, a love of learning, and a sense of responsibility in students by honoring individual strengths in an environment dedicated to academic excellence, Jewish teachings, and the continuity of Jewish values.
Statement of Commitment to Israel
The creation of the State of Israel is one of the seminal events in Jewish history. Recognizing the significance of the State and its national institutions, we seek to instill in our students an attachment to the State of Israel and its people as well as a sense of responsibility for their welfare.
The Beth Yeshurun Day School – the first Jewish Day School in Houston – was born in 1949 when Rabbi William Malev convinced the Congregation of the necessity to have a Day School. Since then more than 2000 students have graduated from our Day School, becoming doctors, attorneys, businessmen and women, mothers and fathers, civic leaders, and leaders in the Jewish community, here in Houston and in other cities throughout the United States.
